Trista Kontz-Bartels

Trista Kontz-Bartels is the Program Director of Helmsley’s Vulnerable Children in Sub-Saharan Africa Program, which seeks to provide at-risk children with greater access to education, improved food and nutrition, and clean water and sanitation.

Before joining Helmsley, Trista was the eCARE Development Manager for regional nonprofit, Avera Health, where she was responsible for the expansion of eHealth in rural communities; and Business Development Consultant for CIGNA where she coordinated marketing plans for pharmacy, forecasted yearly business plans, budgets, and return on investments.

A native of Sioux Falls, SD, Trista holds a master’s degree in business administration with a healthcare concentration from Sioux Falls College, and a bachelor’s degree in biology with minors in chemistry, math, and philosophy from Augustana College. In addition to being a lifelong volunteer for several community organizations, Trista serves as a health and fitness mentor; promoting the role of physical health in overall health and wellbeing. When she has the time, Trista enjoys jogging, biking, swimming, and reading.
