Al Y. Kim is Director of Investments at the Helmsley Charitable Trust. In this role, he is responsible for helping lead the development and implementation of the overall investment strategy for Helmsley.
Before joining Helmsley, Al managed and worked with a broad spectrum of institutional investment portfolios. Al was a director in BlackRock’s client solutions business, which was responsible for developing investment solutions and managing the OCIO mandates for a range of clients globally. Prior to BlackRock, Al was a consultant at Wilshire Associates, where he advised public and corporate pension plans on their asset allocation, investment structure, and manager selection issues.
Al has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California, earned the CFA and CAIA designations, and was a Robert Toigo Foundation fellow.
